Combination Skin

Most of us have combination skin at some time in our lives. You know what I mean - dry skin here and pimples or oily spots there. Makes you wonder what's going on. Relax, combination skin is very normal and very common. Many people are oily only in their "T" zone; forehead, nose and chin; and dry elsewhere. Try our beautiful honey soap with mild stoneground cornmeal scrub. Neither harsh nor overdrying, most people can use this on face and body without irritation. When you are feeling especially dry switch to Lavender flowers or Oatmeal Lavender. When oily go to Citrus Sunrise or Peppermint Magic. You may find yourself using different soaps in different seasons. Other helpful hints:

Avoid "bad oils" like those found in processed foods, especially fast or convenience foods. Avoid cottonseed oil and partially or fully hydrogenated oils when possible. Use cold pressed olive oil if you can. Eat less meat and more whole grains. Supplement with vitamins and chelated minerals (it can't hurt). Wash your face (or oily parts) twice a day and wash dry areas once if feasible. Look for possible reactions to the lotions or potions you may be using. Use clay or mud treatments occasionally. Consider a cleansing fast with medical supervision.
